What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the act of redirecting our attention to what we are actually experiencing in the present moment (with our senses). We do this without trying to fix, control or judge what we are experiencing. In other words; rather than being ‘in our heads’ we are present to our experience of the here-and-now.

  1. so helpful to realise the time I am wasting on things that do not matter and I cannot change and the fact that I had been just totally maxing out on excessive thinking that was and is totally unhelpful. I really enjoy the meditation sessions at Hummingbird – its changing me gradually to let go of anxiety.
